Five friends agreed on a story in 2019. Her phone doesn't.

You're a records clerk at a law firm. A phone from 2019 has come in as evidence: texts, photos, notes, a call log, a recording. Most of it was recovered. Some of it wasn't. Your boss wants two pages on what happened the night of April 13.

READ THE PHONE Scroll her messages, her camera roll and her notes the way you would on any phone. Check the times. Notice who stops answering.

WRITE THE MEMO Fill in what happened, one blank at a time, from what you found. Send a draft and your boss tells you how many answers are wrong. Never which.

TEXT THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE They're adults now. Some will talk to you. One will block you. They answer in real time, in minutes or hours, so put the phone down and come back.

MORE COMES BACK Every section you send brings back more: deleted messages, a second phone, a file the other side never saw.

FILE WHAT YOU BELIEVE You can finish with the wrong story. The game won't stop you, and it won't tell you. The ending is the one you wrote.
