App Store price by country

Purchasing power parity pricing means charging less where money buys more. Instead of converting your US price at the exchange rate, each country pays a share of it that matches local prices, so $9.99 a month feels about as expensive in India as it does in the US.

Partly. App Store Connect takes your base price and converts it for every country using exchange rates and taxes. It does not adjust for purchasing power, so a converted price can be several times what people pay for comparable apps locally.

In App Store Connect, open the subscription or in-app purchase, go to its prices, and edit the price for each country or region. App Store Connect offers a fixed list of price points per currency and will show the one nearest to the price you want.

Outside the US and Canada, yes: the price a customer sees includes VAT or GST. The calculator adds it for every storefront that charges in its own currency. Storefronts that charge in US dollars show the US figure, and Apple takes tax out of your proceeds instead.
