What a placement costs

Three ways to be listed

  • Listed

    $4.99

    once, per app

Your app in the directory, in its category, with a page of its own.

  • Featured

    $14.99

    once, per app

Everything in Listed, plus a month in the featured row on the home page.

  • Spotlight

    $29.99

    per week

Everything in Featured, plus a week as the single spotlight listing at the top of the home page.

How it works

Five steps, about five minutes

  1. Paste your App Store link

We read the name, icon, screenshots and description straight from the App Store, so there is nothing to type and nothing to keep in sync.

  2. See the listing before you commit

The preview is the real card, at the real size. What you see is what goes in the grid.

  3. A person reads it

Every submission is reviewed by hand. If it is not a fit, you get the reason rather than silence.

  4. It goes live, and stays live

A listing does not expire. Featured and spotlight placements run for a month, then the app stays in the directory.

  5. You get a link back, and a badge

Your own site is linked from your developer page, followed, so it counts. There is a badge on your app page to put on your site if you want to return the favour.

The obvious questions

Why bother, when the App Store exists

  • I already have an App Store page.

The App Store is where people go when they know what they want. This is where they go when they do not. Every listing here links straight to your App Store page, and we count the clicks so you can see whether it was worth it.

  • Directories do not send traffic.

Most do not, because most are a flat list nobody links to. Every app here gets its own page, linked from its category, its developer, and at least three sibling apps. That is the shape search engines actually crawl.

  • My app is small.

That is the point. This directory exists because a one-person app is invisible next to a company with a marketing team. Nothing here is ranked by how big the developer is.

Questions

Everything else

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment per listing. There is no renewal and no account to cancel.

What happens when a featured placement ends?

The app drops back to a normal listing and stays in the directory. You keep the page, the category link and the developer page.

Can I list more than one app?

Yes. Each app is submitted separately and gets its own page. Apps by the same developer are linked together automatically.

What gets rejected?

Apps that are not made by an independent developer, apps that are not on the iOS App Store, and anything that has been pulled from the store. Rejections come back with the reason.

Who runs this?

One developer, which is the same answer as for most of the apps listed here.

Can I pay now?

Not yet. Payment is not switched on. Submissions are free while the directory fills up, and prices are shown so you know what a placement will cost when it is.

Paste a link and see how your app looks in the directory.
