Comic Weather

Comic Weather is a weather app for iPhone that turns your forecast into a comic book page. The sky over you is painted as the opening panel, a narrator sums up the day in a yellow caption box, and the hours and days ahead follow in panels below.

Under the ink is a real forecast from Apple Weather: current conditions, the next hour of rain, the next 24 hours, 10 days ahead and official severe weather alerts.

THREE COMIC SKINS, ALL INCLUDED • Four-Color: the newsstand look. Ben-Day dots, bold primary colors, heavy black ink. • Midnight City: gothic noir. Near-black pages, amber lamplight, spires in the rain. • Megacity Manga, new: dense manga ink over a towering city, lamplit streets and wild skies. A skin reprints the whole app, not just its colors: the panels, the lettering, Settings and every widget.

144 PAINTED SCENES Twelve kinds of weather are each painted for dawn, day, dusk and night, in all three skins, from clear skies and fog to snow, storms and heat. Every scene moves a little: rain falls, fog drifts, lightning cracks. With Reduce Motion or Low Power Mode on, they hold still.

RAIN, ON THE CLOCK Where Apple Weather has minute-by-minute data, a panel charts the next hour: "Rain starts in 12 min." Tap Follow on Lock Screen and the countdown moves to your Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island, or let it start by itself for your main place.

PICK YOUR NARRATOR Three voices write the captions and the notifications: • Deadpan: "Fog. The world is on low resolution." • Chipper: "Fog! The city is playing hide and seek." • Dramatic: "Fog swallows the city whole. Proceed with care."

THE FORECAST, PANEL BY PANEL • Current conditions, feels-like temperature and today's high and low • Right now: wind and gusts, humidity, UV, pressure, visibility, sunrise and sunset • The next 24 hours, hour by hour, with the chance of rain • A 10-day forecast. Tap any day for rain totals, wind, UV, sunrise, sunset and moon phase • Severe weather alerts from official agencies, where available • Save several places and swipe between them, by location or by city name • Your units: °C or °F, wind in km/h, mph, m/s, knots or Beaufort, plus rain, pressure and distance

NOTIFICATIONS ONLY WHEN THE FORECAST CALLS FOR THEM • A morning briefing at the time you choose • Rain alerts before it starts and before it stops • Evening planning tips: "Tomorrow's sunny — make a plan" • Severe weather alerts, and a heads-up when tomorrow brings heat or frost Your iPhone works them out from the forecast it has. Switch each kind on or off.

WIDGETS, SIRI AND CONTROL CENTER • Comic Page (large): the panel, the next hours and the days ahead • Comic Strip (medium) and Comic Panel (small) • Weather Glyph for the Lock Screen • Every widget looks right on tinted and clear Home Screens • Ask Siri "Will it rain, Comic Weather?" or "Comic Weather forecast", or use them in Shortcuts • Weather Now, a Control Center button with the temperature anywhere you pick

SHARE THE PANEL One tap prints today's panel as an image for Messages or your story.

SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE Every screen, caption and widget speaks 26 languages, from Español and Deutsch to हिन्दी, العربية and 日本語.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. No analytics. Comic Weather asks only for your approximate location, rounds it to about 100 meters and sends it straight to the weather service. There is no Comic Weather server.

BUILT FOR VOICEOVER AND LARGE TEXT VoiceOver reads every panel, and "Read plainly" gives you the forecast without the jokes. Text scales up to the largest accessibility sizes.

WORKS OFFLINE No signal? Your last forecast stays on the page, marked with how old it is.

ONE PURCHASE, EVERYTHING INCLUDED No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. All three skins, all widgets and every notification come with the app.
