CostNota

Know where every job's profit is going before the job is finished.

CostNota is a private field cost-control tool built for solo contractors and small trade crews. Capture purchases and approved extra work while the job is active, then compare recorded costs with field progress before margin disappears.

TURN RECEIPTS INTO JOB COSTS

Scan a receipt on your iPhone and review the detected merchant, line items, quantities, unit prices, subtotal, tax, discounts, and total before saving. Assign items to material, tool, fuel, and other cost categories. Split one mixed checkout across multiple jobs, or record it as a purchase or refund.

KEEP EACH JOB ON TRACK

- Create jobs with contract values and cost budgets - See tracked cost pressure alongside work completed - Record store returns against the correct job - Review a weekly field-cost report - Export job records when you need to share or archive them

PROTECT APPROVED EXTRA WORK

When a customer requests additional work, record the scope and price before doing it. CostNota creates a bilingual English and Spanish confirmation you can share with the customer, helping both sides stay aligned on what changed.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account is required. Job records, receipt images, approval records, and scanned text stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. Protect sensitive screens with Face ID, and export or restore a password-encrypted local backup.

CostNota is a field decision tool, not accounting, tax, payroll, estimating, or legal-signature software. Cost and profit figures reflect only the information you record and review.
