Driftwell - File Shelf

Collect now. Call it up when needed.

A document to send. A reference to revisit. A file you have not found a home for yet. Drop it into Driftwell and keep working.

Driftwell is a small, floating workspace for files and links on your Mac. Gather what you need, preview supported files, and drag them out when you are ready. You do not have to organize everything first.

MORE THAN IMAGES AND VIDEO Keep spreadsheets, PDFs, documents, presentations, images, video, audio, archives, and folders together. Add web links alongside your files, so different kinds of material can share one space.

KEEP RELATED FILES IN A STACK Drag in several files at once to collect them in a Stack. Keep a batch together and browse the items inside when you need them.

THERE WHEN YOU NEED IT Collapse Driftwell into a small orbit, then expand it when you need your files. Keep temporary material within reach without scattering it across your desktop.

PREVIEW BEFORE YOU OPEN Press Space to preview supported files and use the left and right controls to browse nearby items. Source information is kept with web references when available.

ADD A NOTE WITH MARK UP Draw and add text to images or still frames from supported videos. Save the annotated result as a separate image, ready for your next step.

DRAG IT INTO YOUR NEXT TASK Drag stored files into Finder, a folder, or an app that accepts file drops. Collect now, decide where they belong later.

Less time shuffling files. More room to keep working.

File storage and content preview have different support requirements. Preview and playback depend on the file format, codec, and macOS environment. Mark Up works with images and still frames from supported videos.
