NoxNocturne

Nox Nocturne is a local investigation companion for paranormal enthusiasts who want to record observations and explore their surroundings with care.

Observe your environment View magnetic-field and motion readings from your device's available sensors. Use Easy, Guided or Precise controls to set a reference baseline, watch for sustained changes, and use the animated Nocturne interface to follow capture activity. Sensor availability varies by device. A baseline is an experimental reference, not instrument calibration.

Keep your own investigation log Start and stop recording deliberately, add notes, review saved sessions, and export a log when you choose. Readings and notes stay on your device unless you share them. Saved investigation logs are excluded from device backups, so export anything you want to keep before deleting the app.

Optional room scanning Optional room scanning uses camera and LiDAR on supported devices to estimate room geometry and local sample positions. Manual mapping remains available. A magnetic pin represents a reading at the phone's sampled position; it does not measure distant surfaces or locate a source. Saved maps and scans are local, excluded from backups, and cannot currently be exported or restored.

Explore your observations Use guided Yes, No and Maybe choices or digits 0–9 to record your own interpretations. Optional experimental pulse mode applies a disclosed pulse-count convention; you decide whether to confirm an interpretation. Experimental ranges are user-defined conventions, not detected communication. Stable response-level preview is opt-in: Use copies a suggestion into your draft, and Save is a separate action.

Learn as you go Open individual explanations or the offline field guide to understand baselines, movement, interference and measurement limits. Motion can be reduced for a calmer experience.

Optional on-device AI guidance Optional on-device AI guidance requires a compatible build, operating system, device, enabled Apple Intelligence, a ready model, and a supported language. Each request requires approval of the displayed input. Live guidance excludes notes and questions; saved-investigation review includes them only after a separate opt-in. The offline guide remains available without AI. No cloud-model fallback is used.

No account or subscription is required.

Nocturne is intended for exploration and entertainment. Magnetic changes can come from ordinary objects and electronics. The app cannot detect spirits, identify entities, or verify communication. Directional cues show measurements at the phone; they do not locate a remote source. It is not a scientific instrument or a safety device.
